    Purpose:

    FinMark category 5e four-pair FTP cable is intended for outdoor use in local data networks with the ability to supply power to the equipment: PBX, V.11, X.21, ISDN, Ethernet (10Base-T), ATM-25/52/155 Mbps, 100VG-AnyLAN, Fast Ethernet (100BASE-TX), Token Ring 16/100 Mbps, Gigabit Ethernet (1000BASE-T), Firewire 100 Mbps. The cable is laid in telephone sewers, in pipes, in collectors, on the walls of buildings.

    Design:

    The cable consists of 4 pairs of conductors twisted together. Conductors are 24 AWG copper. Conductor insulation is high-density polyethylene. Conductor pairs are placed in a common screen of aluminum foil under which an additional grounding conductor is laid. The cable sheath is made of black polyethylene (PE). The nominal external cable size is 6.3×10.3mm.

    The cable design includes two current-carrying copper conductors in polyethylene insulation to supply power to remote devices (switches, routers, access points, etc.). The power conductors have a diameter of 0.75 mm (multi-core 7 × 0.25 mm) with black and red insulation. They are assembled into a common cable structure with a twisted pair. This solution is convenient if connecting local power to devices is impossible or very difficult.

    Commonly accepted color identification of conductors:

    • pair 1: white-blue ⁄ blue
    • pair 2: white-orange ⁄ orange
    • pair 3: white-green ⁄ green
    • pair 4: white-brown ⁄ brown
