    Description

    Purpose:

    FinMark category 5e four-pair cable is intended for outdoor use in local data networks with the ability to supply power to the equipment: PBX, V.11, X.21, ISDN, Ethernet (10Base-T), ATM-25/52/155 Mbps, 100VG-AnyLAN, Fast Ethernet (100BASE-TX), Token Ring 16/100 Mbps, Gigabit Ethernet (1000BASE-T), Firewire 100 Mbps. The cable is laid in telephone sewers, in pipes, in collectors, on the walls of buildings.

    The cable sheath is made of black polyethylene (PE). The nominal external cable size is 5.0×9.0 mm.

    Construction

    The cable design includes two live copper conductors in polyethylene insulation to supply power to remote devices (switches, routers, access points, etc.). The power conductors have a diameter of 0.75 mm (multi-core 7 × 0.25 mm) with black and red insulation. They are assembled into a common cable structure with a twisted pair. This solution is convenient if connecting local power to devices is impossible or very difficult.

    Commonly accepted color identification of conductors:

    • pair 1: white-blue ⁄ blue
    • pair 2: white-orange ⁄ orange
    • pair 3: white-green ⁄ green
    • pair 4: white-brown ⁄ brown
