Description

Usage:

For hanging on poles of communication lines and urban electric transport, between houses and other objects. The fully dielectric design allows the cable to be suspended on poles of electric transport contact network or power lines with potential up to 12 kV. Small dimensions and weight also allow the cable to be pulled (or air-blown) into plastic pipes and microchannels.

Design:

A cable with a central optical module, which can accommodate up to 24 optical fibers. A layer of reinforcing glass fibers is located on top of the modular tube. The sheath is made of UV-stabilized high-density polyethylene. To increase resistance to tension, two aramid-plastic strength elements are built into the sheath.
The fully dielectric design of the cable eliminates any electromagnetic effects on the cable, eliminating the need to address grounding and electrical safety issues during installation and operation.

The cable is manufactured with fiber compliant with ITU-T G.652.D, review the specifications here.

Main features:

  • High mechanical tensile strength.
  • Low weight.
  • The high-density polyethylene (HDPE) sheath provides good protection against accidental mechanical damage and chemical influences.
  • A sufficiently large reserve of fibers in the cable allows it to withstand critical tensile forces without damage at extreme temperatures, wind loads or icing.
  • No induced voltages when suspended on high-voltage network supports.
  • No induced currents during lightning discharges.
  • Small diameter and round cross-section reduce windage.
  • Aramid reiforced plastic rods built into the sheath provide additional resistance to tension. At the same time, the weight remains relatively small and the cable flexibility is not imacted by its small size and mass.
  • Unlike other similar products on the market, our aramid rods are built into the sheath. While stretching, the force from the clamp is transmitted to the strength elements, which results into less sheath deformation.
  • Moisture-proof fibers ensure the cable core is protected from transverse moisture penetration.
  • Reinforcing fiberglass provides additional protection against tensile forces.
  • Unlike other similar products on the market, our reinforcing fiberglass is in the form of rods and not scattered fibers, which is more convenient and safe during installation.
