Description

Usage:

The cable is intended for laying in all types of soil, including swamp lands and underwater, on bottoms of basins, rivers, and channels at depth up to 50 meters.

Design:

A cable with 5 optical modules wound around a central strength element. Can accommodate up to 30 optical fibers. The voids between the optical modules are filled with a hydrophobic water-blocking compound. In a cable with a small number of fibers, so-called “filling” modules are used instead of the missing optical modules.

The aluminum foil layer serves as an additional hydrobarrier that prevents moisture diffusion through the polymer sheaths towards the optical fiber. The armor layer is made of 2.0 mm steel wires. A two-layer sheath of UV-stabilized high-density polyethylene gives the cable increased strength and prevents moisture diffusion.

The cable is manufactured with Fujikura FutureGuide – LWP optical fiber (compliant with ITU-T G.652.D) – review the specifications here.
