FinMark LTxxx-SM-06 optical cable
FinMark LTxxx-SM-06 optical cable
- Cable type LT
- Design Armored
- Application Soil, in cable-conduit lines, tunnel, entering into the building
Description
Purpose:
For laying in cable ducts and pipelines, in light soils (without frost deformations), including in places infested with rodents, on bridges and overpasses, in tunnels, collectors at linear input into buildings.
Design:
The cable can contain up to 24 optical modules wound around a central power element, which can accommodate up to 288 optical fibers. The FinMark LTxxx-SM-06 optical cable is a modification of the LTxxx-SM-05 design, with a dielectric central power element and enlarged optical modules.
Inside the modules is a hydrophobic gel. In a cable with a small number of fibers, so-called “filling” modules are used instead of the missing optical modules. The space between the modules is filled with a water-blocking compound. Over the cable core, an armor of corrugated steel tape is applied, which, in addition to mechanical protection, serves as a hydrobarrier, preventing moisture from penetrating through the polymer sheaths towards the optical fiber. The outer sheath is made of UV-stabilized high-density polyethylene.
At the customer’s request, the outer sheath can be made of halogen-free, low-smoke, flame-retardant plastic (LSZH).
The cable contains Fujikura FutureGuide – LWP optical fiber (compliant with ITU-T G.652.D) with its characteristics you can read here →.
At the customer’s request, the cable can be manufactured with fibers according to ITU-T G.655.
