Description

Usage:

For laying in internal cable ducts and risers of buildings, in attics, in basements, in trunking and pipes. Cables with the possibility of semi-opening sheath (similar to breakout cables) are specially designed for use in FTTH networks and are optimized for inter-storey vertical laying in apartment buildings or office centers.

Design:

The cable has from 4 to 48 optical fibers in tight buffer coating, which are freely located in the central part of the cable. Peripheral strength elements – fiberglass rods (FRP) – are embedded in the outer sheath on both sides. The sheath is made of white halogen-free low-smoke plastic (LSZH). Longitudinal marking on the surface of the sheath indicate lines on both sides along which the sheath can be cut.

MTxxx-SM-02/Flex cables are optimized for inter-storey vertical laying inside buildings. At dividing points on the cable, over the marking lines, the sheath can be opened, and individual fibers can be routed to the final subscriber or distribution devices. When routed within the boundaries of one object (cabinet, box, distribution panel), fibers in tight buffer do not require additional protection. And when routing fibers to subscribers through pipes, channels, trunking, microtubes can be used to protect fibers from mechanical and other damage.

An optical cable with the “Flex” marking contains Fujikura FutureGuide-Ace optical fiber with reduced bend loss, compliant with the ITU-T Recommendation G.657.A1. This type of fiber can be laid in cassettes, boxes and cable routes with a small bending radius – up to 10 (static) / 20 (dynamic) outer diameters, without significant additional losses. At the same time, the composition and design of the fiber allows it to be spliced ​​​ with standard single-mode fibers (SM) of the G.652.D type without any problems.

At the customer’s request, the cable can be manufactured with G.657.A2 fibers (marked “Flex2”).
