Description

Usage:

For installation in cable ducts and pipelines, bridges and overpasses, tunnels, in sewers for input into building, including the areas infected by rodents, and light soils (without frost deformations), as well as along the outer walls of buildings..

Design:

The cable can contain from 5 to 24 optical modules wound around a central power element. Can contain up to 288 optical fibers. The FinMark LTxxx-SM-05 optical cable is a lightweight modification of the LTxxx-SM-04 design, which allows laying up to 96 fibers in a cable with an outer diameter up to 12 mm.

Inside the modules is a hydrophobic gel. In a cable with a small number of fibers, so-called “filling” modules are used instead of the missing optical modules. The space between the modules is filled with a water-blocking compound. The cable core is covered with a steel corrugated tape armor, which, in addition to mechanical protection, serves as a hydrobarrier that prevents moisture diffusion through the polymer sheaths towards the optical fiber. The outer sheath is made of UV-stabilized high-density polyethylene.

At the customer’s request, the outer sheath can be made of flame-retardant halogen-free low-smoke (LSZH) plastic.

The cable is manufactured with Fujikura FutureGuide – LWP optical fiber (compliant with ITU-T G.652.D), review the specifications here.
