Description

Usage:

For hanging on poles of communication lines and urban electric transport, between buildings and other objects; fully dielectric construction allows the cable to be hanged on poles of the electric transport contact networks or power lines with potential up to 12 kV.

Design:

Cable with 6 optical modules wound around a central strength element. Can accommodate up to 72 optical fibers. The voids between the optical modules are filled with a hydrophobic water-blocking compound. In a cable with a small number of fibers, so-called “filling” modules are used instead of the missing optical modules. The outer sheath is made of UV-stabilized high-density polyethylene. The load-bearing messenger element is made of a reinforced fiberglass rod with a 2 mm or 2.6 mm diameter, which provides sufficient resistance to tensile forces. Its advantages are low weight and the absence of any electrical effects on the cable.

The cable is available in two versions, designed for different maximum tensile loads: 1 kN and 3 kN.

At the customer’s request, the outer sheath can be made of fire-resistant material – low-smoke halogen-free plastic compound (LSZH).

The cable is manufactured with Fujikura FutureGuide – LWP optical fiber (compliant with ITU-T G.652.D), review the specifications here.
