Description

Usage:

ADSS (All Dielectric Self-supporting) – self-supporting, fully dielectric optical cable for suspension on supports of communication and power lines, railway contact network, between buildings and other objects. In addition, the cable can be used for laying or blowing in plastic protective pipes.

Design:

A cable with several optical modules wound around a central dielectric strength element. Can accommodate up to 288 optical fibers. The voids between the optical modules are filled with a hydrophobic water-blocking compound. In a cable with a small number of fibers, so-called “filling” modules are used instead of the missing optical modules. The self-supporting properties of the cable are provided by a layer of high-strength Kevlar (aramid) threads located between the outer sheaths. The two-layer sheath is made of UV-stabilized high-density polyethylene; for cables laid on power lines with a voltage of more than 12 kV, a tracking resistant modification of polyethylene is used.

The cable is manufactured with Fujikura FutureGuide – LWP optical fiber (compliant with ITU-T G.652.D), review the specifications here. At the customer’s request, the cable can be manufactured with fibers compliant with ITU-T G.655.
