Description

Usage:

Designed for hanging on communication line and electric transport contact network poles, between buildings and other objects.

Design:

Cable with 5-8 optical modules wound around a central strength element. Can accommodate up to 96 optical fibers. It is a lightweight modification of the LТxxx-SM-18 design.

The space between the optical modules is filled with a water-blocking hydrophobic compound. In a cable with a small number of fibers, so-called “filling” modules are used instead of the missing optical modules. The outer sheath is made of UV-stabilized high-density polyethylene. The supporting strength element is made of galvanized twisted wire and has 3.0 mm diameter, which provides the cable with good resistance to longitudinal tension.

At the customer’s request, the outer sheath can be made of flame-resistant low-smoke halogen-free plastic compound (LSZH).

The cable is manufactured with Fujikura FutureGuide – LWP optical fiber (compliant with ITU-T G.652.D), review the specifications here.
