Description

Purpose:

FinMark FTTHxxx-SM-02Ro “last mile” distribution optical cable, for use in FTTH networks. It is designed for laying inside buildings, in risers, in attics, in basements, pipelines, in boxes, along skirting boards, in offices and apartments. Easily attached to any flat surfaces, simple and convenient in preparation and installation.

Cables with reduced losses at bends “Flex” can be laid inside apartment buildings or offices in cramped conditions. Along skirting boards, jambs, with sharp turns of the route, when installing cables using clamps.

Design:

The cable contains one, two or four optical fibers that comply with the ITU-T Recommendation G.652.D (standard single-mode fiber with a suppressed “water peak”). The outer sheath is made of halogen-free, low-smoke material that does not spread combustion – LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen). FinMark FTTHxxx-SM-02Ro, unlike the similar-designed FinMark FTTHxxx-SM-02 cable, has rounded edges of the outer sheath. Resistance to longitudinal tension of the cable is provided by two steel wire strength elements.

The cable can also use fibers that comply with the ITU-T Recommendation G.657.A2 (single-mode fiber with reduced bending losses). In this case, the cable marking uses the “Flex” index. The minimum bending radius of such a cable is much smaller than usual – up to 10…30 mm.
