Description
Usage:
ADSS (All Dielectric Self-supporting) – self-supporting, fully dielectric optical cable. Designed for suspension on poles of communication lines, electric transport contact network or power lines with potential not exceeding 12 kV.
Design:
A cable with several optical modules wound around a central dielectric strength element. Can accommodate up to 72 optical fibers. The space inside the modules is filled with hydrophobic gel. Between the modules water-repellent fibers are placed. In a cable with a small number of fibers, so-called “filling” modules are used instead of the missing optical modules. A water-blocking tape is attached over the cable core.
A layer of high-strength Kevlar (aramid) threads located under the sheath provides the cable with self-supporting properties. The outer sheath is made of UV-stabilized high-density polyethylene.
The cable is manufactured with Fujikura FutureGuide – LWP optical fiber (compliant with ITU-T G.652.D), review the specifications here. At the customer’s request, the cable can be manufactured with fibers compliant with ITU-T G.655.
